Anyone here hear of JDM Exchange?

I might head up there tomorrow to check out a 1995 JDM Rx-7 TT they have in stock supposedly.

My friends interested in it.

Also, might try to talk them into getting a skyline or evo 5/6 down to the states for me, so I can have something to have a ****load of fun with on weekends and DD it.

This 9 is costing a fortune to keep ^_^. Insurance and the such isnt "cheap" as one would hope for.

But anyone here ever hear of them/done business with them? Are they reliable?

I always hear about people buying JDM engines from them. From what i remember i haven't heard anything bad though. I believe I've seen the RX7 your talking about. There is a couple RHD drive ones driving around philly.
I'm sure the initial cost, upkeep, and the rest won't be that much cheaper then your car now. Other then the unique factor you have a pretty sweet car. I'm sure if you modded it more you would have a new appreciation for it.
edit: Also be careful with buying a pre modded imported car. The price may look good but that car isn't clean and was a previously modded rotary car with probably no history on it. Not saying jdm exchange is a bad place or would sell junk but you have to have an idea what your getting yourself into with a car like that.

the cars that they get to america to sell are not legal. They are titled through a loophole in the DMV system. Also, if you plan to register them anywhere but PA its very hard.

That one was sold! For a guy who knows the owner, you really are up to date! Never heard anything bad about them, but I hear they arent' the cheapest around.

They want 8,000 for it..

As I spoke to a guy who bought a JDM Type-R of them, he said he paid 9,5 for his type R and then the titling fees of the guy that they known down the street that can get titles, well, it was almost 5000...

But still the uniqueness of it I guess..
As for the car being beat on..
I hear they are reliable. And anyways, I know someone that can sell me an engine dirt cheap for it..
Plus, I was planning on getting it bridgeported and re-done anyways if I get this car..

I have to get down there someday this week.
They arent responding to my emails though, nor phone calls :/
and when i drove by their adress, I saw a truck with a bunch of Frito-Lay boxes outfront.. with chips im assuming?
and no sign of their existence..

O_o
But before the summer when I went there they were in full working order ?

Not a bad price for a RX7 makes me wonder the miles and condition of it once in person. Doesn't look to be the cleanest car to me from the pics on their site

Now your up to 13k for a rx7 that could have issues like most do. I do agree its unique but there are a few around the area and it may be more hassle then its worth.

I've never owned one but researched buying one and kept my eye on them for a while. They don't seem to be the most reliable cars out there. If your already planning to dump loads of money into it but are also complaining about the cost of owning your evo things aren't adding up to me.

Before making judgement i would research into them a little more, but as of now it doesn't sound like a place i'd like to buy from.
