Hey Guys,

I'm not sure if there already is a RI chapter already but if not, I'd like to see one get put together before the nice weather comes around and maybe we can schedule some meets and hang outs. If you live in RI or close to it and are interested, just reply here and I'll take note. I have a couple places in mind that we could all meet at and I think it'll be a good thing to do. I've only seen like 2 evo's around RI.

Are you guys familar with Colt State Park in Bristol, RI by any chance? It's a nice park that we could meet up at and have a bbq and chill. If you don't know about it, I can get you guys directions. It's not that hard to get to.

 

not sure where the park is, but i pass through Bristol on my commute to JWU. i'm down to meet up sometime.

what color is your evo? i've only seen 2 evo's here in RI. one was a GG Evo 8 that i saw the other day in Newport, and the other was a silver with an oz rally wing, and aftermarket front bumper.

 

I have a tarmac black... All stock soon to have the stealth perrin exhaust on in a week or two. I'm barely around newprt this time of the year but hang out there sometimes in the spring and summer. I live up in woonsocket if you know where that is. Anyways let me know when you wanna meet up. Since you go to jwu you probably know about wing night at trinity no?

 

I live in Somerset, Ma which is about 10 min from RI. I used to live in Bristol, Colt state park is nice for meets when the weather is nice. Like you guys have said though, there are not many evos in this direct area... that I know of atleast.

 

nope lol...i don't really hang out in providence..assuming that's where it is lol. there is 25c wings at obrians down here in newport though.

i've actually been up in woonsocket to go to a cat breeder. i think i actually remember seeing a yellow evo when i was up there (this was around march last year). have you seen it?
yeah..it's crazy. i'm not used to it. in jersey, they are everywhere haha. both srt-4s and evos. have either of you guys seen the pink srt that's in ri?i saw it one day riding the ripta bus to school haha. i knew the car from srtforums too, but hadn't seen it in person until recently.

 

I haven't seen the yellow evo around Woonsocket. I've only seen two evo's in that area and one was a silver 9 and the other was that gunmetal color 9 and I think he was wing-less.


Pink SRT-4? That's crazy. I've never seen it although a buddy of mine has a nice SRT-4 he lives in Rehoboth, MA now I believe. GT35r turbo, it's pretty damn quick.

But anyways, if you guys wanna meet up and chill soon just let me know. I know the weather is kinda ****ty right now being cold and all but it doesn't bother me a heck of a whole lot. Of course things will be better in the spring and we can meet up at that park.

i had a pretty quick srt not too long ago :-/. still miss her. got her to go 11.4 on 24 lbs with a borg warner s256. it was definitely a fun little car.

i'm definitely up for meeting up and hanging out.

i know her as lil spark plug haha...i'm not really a fan of the car either..just thought it was cool that i spotted a car that i recognized from the internet!

I love SRT-4's. I as trying to find a decent one for a while. I used to have a 03 Spec-v. SUCKED. Then came across the Evo and couldn't pass it up. I'm glad though. Always wanted an Evo.

I've only had my evo since the end of Nov of last year so I haven't really drivin' it in terms of launching or autox. I dunno, for the money I paid I want/need this car to last me a while so I'm thinking I probably won't beat on it. I'm down to come watch you guys and tag along if that's cool.

 

anytime.. well when summer comes around that is.. ive never launched/ dragged my car.. i feel like the only real abuse a track day here or there does is on your tires and brakes. i cant wait for spring

 

im in the fall river area, 20 minute ride to prov. Id definitly be down, I've been to a few meets at colt state, Good time! I usually go during summer with a few guys from baystatedsm forums.
