I should reply too saying "I'm still very much a novice and have experience with only one set of pads but I plan to dominate in a couple of weeks. I'm sure I'm qualified to take quantifiable data and compare to my long list of brake pads and plethora of track experience."

Its great you're recording, but I think a wider angle to see what you're doing is more interesting than just seeing the road ahead.

seriously though, I think me, Thai and Tim would be great canidates since we all have a bunch of events coming up and we're all very familiar with how our current setups perfrom. If any of you fools want to vouch for me/us I'm not stopping you.

Thats just how these videos are... boring. Its a shame really, cause in the car when you're driving its the most exciting thing on the plant. you're at the limit of traction, fighting to keep the car going in the direction you want, but that never translates to video unless you do some really good editing and have several cameras going at the same time to get different angles.
^^^Exactly. It's hard to show the excitement that is felt by the driver. You dont really hear the tires scream, your engine reving up top, or feel the movement of the car. Unless you were actually racing and showing in-car footage of a close chase for position, its really really boring to watch.

I don't find track videos nearly as boring now that I know what it's like.
I was watching lightning videos with Robert last weekend. (You know, because I know so much about lightning). And you really can't appreciate the elevation changes on video. I think he's in for a surprise when he sees how blind turn 5 is (unless I'm exagerrating it in my head).
Even little changes in elevation on the track look flat on video like the downhill braking zone going into turn 7 and then through the lightbulb.
Watching all you guy at shanadoah, you can really see the elevation changes on the video. It must be a little intimidating the first time out there.

I'm definitely going, for several reasons. 1, I promised Robert and James we were going to dominate this event. 2, I have a Toxic Fab shirt with my name on it. 3, my friend is selling his GT-R to AMS, so he needs a ride home. 4, James and I plan to do a cover of MC Marky Marc's latest single!
