Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
We're apartment hunting for her new gig. Was supposed to be the week after, but she decided to move it up because she starts on the 30th. You guys who are fimiliar with the Lancaster/York area, I need help finding a place for her.
I can tell you that unless you want the misses to feel like she's staying with you back in da hood to stay away from the York college area. My sister in law lived there when she went to York and got her car broken into 3 times in two years... it was an 89 blazer. lol.
I went up to York College in high school to visit friends. We got in a giant snowball fight 100+ people. 3 cars got flipped and turned into forts
That was when I decided not to go to college because I would end up dead or in jail.

I was told the same, to stay out of York and downtown Lancaster. We found a few places on the outskirts of Lancaster for decent prices. But I think we need to up the budget alittle and just get her in a nicer complex or something. I didn't think this area could be up 800-1000 a month. If you guys know some specific areas that are good, please let me know.

You'd probably have to up it to $1000-1300 for a decent one bedroom in a nice complex in Lancaster.
I don't know what would be out there to be honest. It seems they try to put all the slick and chic places in my area or montco to attract professionals working in the city.
Another good option is to capitalize on the real estate market and do searches on realty websites for properties for rent. When houses and townhouses go on the market and don't sell, the owners/sellers decide to rent them in the interim to offset carrying costs. You could find a nice new construction townhouse for under $1500/month I bet.
My wife and I went that route after we were married and the place was awesome. We more or less downgraded several amenities by moving into our current house.
