Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
I knew you would jump in and say that chu!
Been contributing aggressively to try and save up for retirement as much as I can while I am young, single, and have relatively low expenses. But its leaving me very little (read, VERY little) for other stuff to do and emergency funds that can be accessed easily.
My 401k is taken per paycheck on a selected percentage basis. The max contributions is 15%, and you can select any number in between. My firm automatically contributes 10%. So far I have been maxing out my contributions at 15% with an additional 5% going to employee stock purchasing at a 5% discounted rate.
However, when its all said and done, that means 20% of each paycheck is money that is untouchable. It goes into a non-roth IRA so I am being taxed now (in theory good bc I am at a lower tax bracket than I plan to be in the future). Need to just adjust it so I have some money for spending, but want to add as much as feasible.
this is all assuming i make it past 30, which considering my history of concussions, stupid childish antics, and plans for a bike, isnt all that likely.

that is a good question, and realistically i dont think it is. there are many reasons for that, but in the end i dont think im going to purchase the stock and will withdraw from the program. the 5% discount is nothing based on a stock that is trading for $15 +/- . being in the finance department has its advantages when it comes to understanding revenue, profit margins for the big contracts, and liquid cash flow.
I want to max the 15% 401k esp since the company matches up to 10%, but its spreading my budget pretty thin after rent, gas, utilities, groceries etc. I hate have normal people expenses. I might have to back it down to 10% until i get the raise/promotion. been at 15% for 6 months or so and have little to no money to spend. havent even gone out drinking in a month and a half!

I just joined the company IRA and they only match 3%. With some of the iras you guys have sounds like it will be a good start for retirement. I always was like yea ill save eventually, but the last few year you realize your not a kid any more and I have to plan on the future.

Let me guess the excuses you will try and use... cold tires, heat cycled tires, no abs, oil on track, speedy dry on track, too much traffic to get a clean lap, timer didn't work but I know I ran a 1:30.9, i have a boost leak... thats all I can think of now but I'm sure you'll get creative and come up with some new ones.
if only you were as good at driving as you are at excuses. only thing you will show me is how to flat spot tires and spin off into the grass.

As of now there is only 37 people pre registered. Depending on the final turn out they might go to two run groups.
Street tire and FS run last heat. I guess you could run first heat as a non comp.
I do not think they have a class for them. SCCA did not have anything listed and I know most of them are not eligible

I'll be curious to see what happens. 1st car is off at 10am, i'll see if i can make it over for a little bit and then bail to the other event i was meeting people at.
