Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
Thanks again for letting me drive the car yesterday! I didn't get so many runs, but Simmons sat with me for a while so that was good. I t least got my suspension figured out....somewhat!
I drove myself tired yesterday, was totally wiped when I got home. I do not think I have beat on my car that bad ever (Simmons was my co-driver for 1st time we ran as well as skid pad and slalom).
My son wanted to ride his tricycle out front when I got home, so I did that with beer in hand completely exhausted. It was real fun after the day to wind down watching him ride and round and play with my neighbors. IT then sucked unloading all the **** I brought with me, like 1/2 my garage... Needless to say I ate a little something after that and passed out on my sofa.
Great day.... Best part though is Simmons figured out my suspension too, a couple minor tweaks and it was working great!
I feel good that I was able to help Simmons align his cart there. His cart ended up working great too after those adjustments, just a Win Day all around.

Chu sorry for the confusion with the E85, I had 3 gallons left you could have used. I did not realize Simmons was not going to drive the last heat, so it ended up I had some extra. If he would have run I would have been out before we were done. I feel bad someone had to bring you corn when I had it there.
sounds like it was a good time yesterday. this weekend's weather looks crappy.
also i am glad that my on call weekend coverage at work are so vigilant with maintaining the security of the materials in the office.

No worries on the E-85...as long as you remember to hook me up with those 2 VP containers you promised! I'll pay you for the containers, or buy you lunch! lol!
BTW....stop murdering cones!

yeah, the two of you got the help of simmons, thats worth the price of admission right there!
Mike- I'm curious to see the difference your alignment/car now being dialed-in makes this weekend. Are you getting some new rubber up front too?

I feel confident my car is dialed in for black top, next mission is to figure out concrete. Thats what Toledo is all about, similar surface to Nationals surface. Driving on concrete is a different ball game compared to black top.
Simmonz is the man, all I can say. Any of you guys get a chance for him to ride with you or drive your car, it will be an experience. Plus he is really good at telling you what the car is doing, probably being a mechanic helps I guess. So it is a car and driver he helps with, always knocks time off of a run for me if he rides along.
to me a heat cycle = one run. I have 14 on these tires so far and won't be switching them out until next year. I'm kinda sad to hear Chuck & Bruce are on beat hoosiers, I thought they purchased them new at the beginning of the season.
The few things I have going for (or against) me now, as I see it, are that my car isn't prepped well at all for the class (stock boost & zero weight reduction), my alignment isn't near optimized for my setup (running 2.4 camber up front), my suspension isn't 'dialed in' and driver development. My short term plan is to work on driver deveolpment and get a decent alignment for the car. That should be enough to keep me busy this year.
My goals for this year are three fold. To have at least one top ten pax finish, to raw time you and to take 1st in SM for the year. So far I've done one of them... if I can repeat that next weekend I'll know it wasn't a fluke.

^ Did you see the run order for this weeks event? Pretty sure they have us running last again... I posted up but no one has responded to my post yet. I'm gonna ask then wtf at the drivers meeting this week, this is bs.
i feel like that's a problem with most of us evo drivers. If it wasn't for this mbc, i think i'd be in an ST class
Your car seems to be pretty comparable to the other SM cars. Maybe a small power disadvantage? You have the best tires for sure...
