Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
I briefly touched on this with TimR but I think the T classes are a little too much in Philly Region, his logic was he can't compete with Shoeberg, but how about just competeting for 3rd place? Hell I can't compete with them either or even the 135i in ASP on Hoosiers but I still ran normal ASP that day.
And when I saw the PAX this weekend I was like really? If I just choose TASP I would of been PAX'd higher than other entries in their proper class? I just think giving T-SP/SM PAX handicap beyond the normal SP/SM modifiers is crazy and unfair to people who run there proper class regardless of total setup. And beyond Novice class I think regions should only promote national classes and not worry about giving out trophies to everyone.

We have the class in Philly because the competitiors asked for it, and the region responded. Not everyone have the funds to have a fully prepped car for certain classes, but they want to be competitive too. No one wants to put in time and effort for 2nd or 3rd, or worst. And if there's a class that allows it, then thats naturally what people will do.

What is Thai and you running E class this weekend? Either way that's how I roll, I don't run to win things all the time but to get better over time. If I lose and pull a 1:19 that is almost 3 secs better than last so to me I still win.

The pax differential is to account for the tires. You would be pax'd higher in the TASP class, because you are closer to "full" TASP prep than you are ASP. PAX numbers are designed to compare top cars in each class on a level playing field. I'm not saying the T modifier is correct, because it is really a guestimate due to lack of data on fully prepped cars for each class, but the fact there is one makes sense.

j/k. I've been checking 2-3 times a day, and it hasn't been posted. They're usually quick with that.
