Exactly.. I tried to tell them but then someone said I gotta win. But I feel personality and just overall doing good is enough to be supported along with believing in their product. I have had 1 company mentioning to me about their parts in profile and wanting to be in my sponsor area just from being on that team page. They saw it when they went to look at Akuma's 370z apparently.

All I need is a tuner and shop to come on board to make things really happen. Even if not full but like 50% off on labor and tuning as I'm a very busy guy outside of racing and don't have a team.

 

Exposure is more important than winning. If you can show up consistantly, market yourself properly, and build a relationship with your sponsor, then you have what it takes.

I don't know if anyone is aware of this, but I made a fine discovery this evening while prepping my car for this weekend. I was over the NNR/Walshy garage in Lansdale yesterday,and happened to pick up Jim's used Evo 9 oil cooler. I was in much better shape than mine, so I figure why not. As I go to install it earlier, this is what I discovered. While vertically the same size, the IX oil cooler is nearly 2 inches wider than the stock VIII. You must use the IX brackets to make it work, or NNR it like I did. The lines and fittings are the same. It a nice upgrade I think. BOOM
