Re: SS brake lines: No matter what brand you go with just make sure you feel them up every day before rolling on to the track. If the Teflon get's worn/split it can get debris stuck in it an then tear through the braided line resulting in tire wall/armco domination.
I spent Saturday and Sunday dominating crew duties for a Grand Am Rolext GT Audi R8 LMS team at Lightning. The best part of crewing for a $500K race car? you don't get your hands dirty. Had to change brake pads mid-day Saturday and it took 10 minutes from wheels-up to wheels-down...pneumatic jacks, single lug wheels, and 6-pot Brembos FTW. Got to ride in the car on Sunday afternoon...now I just need to figure out how to get enough dough to get to drive it a little...UNF.

I then spent Monday instructing at Pocono North for the Del-Val Maita Club...had some nice back-and-forth with an S2000. Turned a few 1:04s (no vids [iPhone overheated]) and loads of 1:05s which I am pretty happy with...SE30 track record is A 1:03.4 but that was before the safer barrier was installed creating a double speed bump at T1...holy crap is that unsettling--need to put the right side of the car in the dirt in order to make it reasonably smooth...still really upsetting to the car.
