Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
^ i was also at pocono over the weekend with nasa, we ran the long single infield, CW and CCW. one of my student was also an audi R8 V10.
my fastest north course CW in the s2k was 1:00. the repaved oval is very smooth. the double bump at the north entry was still there (from last year). if you run the long config, you have to turn left there, only smooth way is to almost put two tires on the dirt like you said. people have broken axles and suspensions hitting that bump. i was really hoping they would fix it when they repave the oval but they didn't.

But not the LMS version...
What tires were you running that you got a 1:00? Hohos? The HC1 record is a :59.XXX (there was a HC1 S2K there yesterday...really effin' quick...I'd guess :04-:05 faster than me).
Pocono has "every intention" of paving all track surfaces and fixing bumps--and creating a new configuration that will not use any of the NASCAR corners--but they ran out of money to finish it this year.

oh damn lol

^So true, but I think I'm guilty of this too with about 3 of the 40+ cars I've owned. None have ever compared to these few.

that's cause i haven't done Pocono North course in the Evo yet. you wanna fight me. com at meh kid
i bet the street R8 version is just as fast on straights, no power restriction, street tires with less rolling resistance, no aero drag.
my s2k was setup for TTC, 255 NT01 all corners, KW V3 coilovers, sway bars, intake and exhaust.
i do hope they repave and/or change the infield. it has potential to be a great track with all the open realestate they have. i don't mind using part of the nasa oval, just not 3/4 of it in the long course. the double infield they had with north and south course combined wasn't bad, but the south course was tore up pretty bad and narrow.

The aero on the LMS is not that significant--not like the GT3 aero package. The lower hp (480 vs 550+?) and lower weight (only 2800lbs vs 3300lbs) for the GA car probably make the road going version pretty comparable in a straight line. I will say the V10 sounded spec-tac-u-lar.
