Well this was fun, not only did the car have a crazy braking experience for me (pedal went soft almost to floor), the car spit oil on the tires (we think) and the car was all over the place not stopping on the 2nd lap and 3rd lap, especially on 2nd lap into turn 6 and 3rd lap into turn 1. Think it was more scary for me being passenger, but definitely shook us both up, Marc wisely brought it in at that point, just ran a cool down lap and pitted.
Strange I took it out 1 more time and brakes were perfect, but we did fix the small oil leak at that point, just car still is spitting a little bit of antifreeze from same spot I had problem with it a while ago and took it to someplace to fix, thought it was good to go. Track exposes every problem area on a car.

I wanna work on my car, but I haz made work to do this week. New pads and rotors need to go on this week. Waiting on some bushings to come in and get the rear end squared away.
who here has painted wheels, and where did you get them done if you didnt do them yourself? I dont have time to paint the wheels myself, and dont have a 2nd set of wheels while I work on the old set. Plus, there are tires on them and the proper way is without tires. Thoughts, advice, store names? KOP area.
Please PM or Text me because you guys go so fast I cant even keep up with the thread and dont want to read back.
Fineberg, Baggattaways sometime soon for a beer or 6? Currently unemployed so have plenty of time! let me know. There was a 9 yr old at this camp I am coaching this week wearing a Baggattaway Lax Pinnie. I am thinking about stealing it from him bc when I asked him what he knew about the pinnie or the name, and he was like? umm, lax? haha yea sure kiddo.
Dan: You mentioned some stuff about giving me a hard time and learning etc on the track. this thread is full of BS, joking around, and giving everyone a hard time, no feelings hurt here or every will be.
Whenever I get the car back, can get a DD, and solidify a job to make some money, I will come out on the track. until then, it will just be all bench talk and **** talking haha. whenever I do come out, I will be in novice, and I will come with a completely open mind and be a sponge. try to learn as much from everyone as possible. my racing experience is very limited on the track, so i want to learn as much as poss. whether it be from you, chu, thai, marc, fineberg, anyone. I have been doing ride alongs with all my bimmer friends to learn about braking, throttle, and line techniques, but these are all just theories. need to apply them, just trying to absorb as much info as poss all the time!

We started with 900/1200. Most evo's on hoosiers are in this range. We might be a bit higher due to aero.
If I was running an STU prep, I'd still get it done with spring rates...they'd just be lower. Sway bars are kinda like band aids for wrong spring rates. In order to resist roll, they transfer load to the outside tire and remove load from the inside tire. Two bad things for ultimate traction.
