Definitely need a new TOB and retainer clip when doing clutch. It is not worth the problems if the clip pops off because its mangled or the TOB was going bad and then you have to take trans out.
My floater plates were replaced too because they were wasted. Basically anything that could be wrong with my clutch was, but I beat the hell out of it and should not have pushed it so long. Oh and I needed a new trans too, yay..

For sale is a slightly used Exedy HD Twin Clutch. Was only on the car for a short time before switching to a different style Exedy. Friction discs measure around 3.83mm all around on both. 4.0mm is new - 3.0mm is replacement level - so there is approximately 80% life left. There is what I would call minimal chunking on the friction discs.
Ben, fwiw when I did my last exedy twin rebuild i just swapped discs, didn't touch the intermediate plate or FW/PP surfaces. This was back in '08 and I believe I got the rebuilt info directly from Exedy. From having a Mcloud twin disc in my Z06 and rebuilding it 3 times I learned that you can't just machine one surface, like an intermediate plate, because if you don't account for the difference in height it might mess with how the clutch clamps or releases.
if you have the funds I would replace all the friction surfaces and discs which will be a new clutch basically. If not just talked to Exedy and find out what the tolerances are, then assemble everything and take measurements with a feeler gauge/micrometer to see if you're OK.

i've been getting quotes from different shops. looks like a fully built 10.5:1 compression motor with a fully race ported and built head is in the works...........stay tuned. Walshie may end up in the 8's one day.
Noble Plastics? You mean metals?
She likes long walks on the beach, spooning, and flatulence is the funniest thing in the world to her.
Seriously though, she has one year left for her associates, but she can take the test to become and RN at that point, and she really enjoys working with seniors. Her interview today is at an assited living home. She plans on taking the CSN test before the end of the summer, she's been rather relaxed about the whole thing up to this point.
