I can't believe your a quitter too........ I will bet you guys based on your street tire PAX times to my BSP PAX times. How about everyone on here that goes, we will bet the PAX finishs based on this, thats totally fair. So everyone on here is betting me $5 on beating my PAX finish - its a bet bishes!!!!!!!!!!!
That would be my one trip to Nationals in Nebraska, all other trips I am no where near that figure. Granted National Autox is not 20 minutes per session of seat time, but we all know that difference between Autox and RR already. If you add up all the wear and tear on your car, its way more $ than your saying. I am sure you will need to redo your car this off-season since it will be all beat up. Autox takes years of abuse to do what you can in one season of RR.
So there....
So there....

oh really... how many transmissions, transfer cases, clutches, axles, wheel bearings & ignitions have you gone thru so far.
I don't wanna hate on AX cause I do like it, so I'm going to stop now.

I'm questionable for the EMRA event after trackdaze simply because it's really adding up.
I also feel guilty spending hundreds of dollars when I should be saving it for my wife and unborn child. I feel like the father in Angela's Ashes where the kids go down to the bar to stop drinking away all the "money for the baby."

Exactly. I beat ben in his car AND my car. So it had to be my new setup last weekend ... right?
Joking aside. Though I learned alot driving with the rsb on, I was disappointed with my lack of discipline in certain sections of the course. Not sure if that would have made up 1.5 seconds though
I'm hoping that with the *specs, rsb set to soft and a bit more focus, I can give ben some better competition in tbsp.
Losing to a bmw is unacceptable. lol

Thanks, but I won't be satisfied until I get back to being very competitive with Pete. I haven't bested him yet this season.
I felt like run three and four were the only reasonably good runs I've had all year. I was very disappointed with my driving the first two events.
You son of a *****. I thought that we agreed never to speak of that again.

So potentially good news for the street tire SM gang. If I make the next event on 7/10 I will be on street tires. I'm planing on hitting up the NSTC later in July and want to get an event on the star specs to feel them out. No more "I don't have hoosiers" excuses, we all have the same rubber
Plus I want to see if I can beat that wrx on hoosiers with my *specs on

Mike would have taken both our monies though.
the Glen is a blast, you'll love it. it's like a roller coaster. don't drive 10/10 your first time there and you wont end up on the wall, it's not forgiving there like NJMP is. i can't wait to get back there in Oct 1/2 for NASA TT
Your previous comment is sort of correct, my T-case, transmission all went the same time frame, the clutch rebuild was expected actually. I got 5-6 years out of that stuff before it went. 3 of those years were with "high" power #'s..
haters gonna hate
I am a cone lover and I'm proud -------- who's with me?!
PAX comparison is a disadvantage for most of us, if not all.
thanks. I don't usually drive 10/10th until I'm very comfortable. i watched a couple of videos and there isn't much run off but DAMN are there some high speed sections. I might need some aero mods, lol.
Why isn't it? Aren't you guys on the final PAX list? If so all you need to do is finish higher than me..

I assume you know what a soft pax is... HS is a soft pax, GS is a soft pax... last time I looked the street tire pax was not soft. Meaning the multiplier is too big to accurately compare it numbers between regular PAX classes and street tire pax. the whole reason for the st pax was so cars that fall into BSP and SM can run against each other on street tires and still be somewhat competitive.
take BSP as an example. normal BSP pax is .859 and the street tire BSP pax is .842 (rounded up). that means on a 60 second course your car, on hoosiers, would only need to be 1 second faster raw time than a similar prepped BSP car on street tires. no way in HELL anyone is getting to within a second of a slick tired car with a driver that has half a clue. just look at the gap between Aaron and Pete at the last event... I believe it was 4 seconds. why don't you just drive my car on street tires and see how you do. unless you're worried about being slower than one of us mortals.

Ok ok, fair is fair (who asked you Kenny!) how about I run on my 4 year old RA1's I have 17". You can have your *** Spec's or whatever I will still whoop yo asses.....
I am not going to run on them for my event finish points, but I can run NC runs for our $5 bets. Shall I bring them next event? everyone in on the $5 bet??

The STANCED Crowd doesn't seem to like my half-stanced setup
So the corolla almost saw the end of it's life today.
I was on 95 in slower moving traffic going about 40mph in the lane next to the right lane (4 lane section) when some ****** in a truck decided to try to crunch me between him and the two cars to my right. I completely locked the brakes up and slide all four wheels and tried to steer to what little space I had. I really thought that was it and I was going to toast my DD and be involved in a 4 car accident on 95 in the 3pm hour on a Friday (people would have loved us). When I averted that disaster I got pissed and went after the guy to show my displeasure to find that he was a clueless f^ck and I came off like someone with anger issues (not completely inaccurate).
I always wonder how people driving slow in straight lines in "parade-like" situationsanage to crash their cars into eachother. Well I was just reminded today. Had I been no paying attention like that clueless f^ck, there would have been quite the back up on 95 south this afternoon.
I'm also thankful for what little driving experience I've gained because I knew how to jam that car past it's traction limit yet still steer out of the way even though there was little space to do so.
I was also thinking that a car totaling accident is just what I need before a double track day next week. (sarcasm).
