Rockauto has them for $19.95 and there is a discount code available to get another 5-10% off your order, just sayin'.

Very cool, going to look for this. The only "driving" book i have is the skip barber manual.

I assume it's an aftermarket one? My price was based on OEM pieces, just saying.

yeah, its probably aftermarket... is there a difference (other than the obvious price) between the two?

Beats me dude...never bought an aftermarket one. The OEM pieces have the metal brackets on the frotn section for added strength...not sure what the aftermarket ones look like. I also wonder if the Lancer shares the same design.

guess I'll find out. Not too worried about it though, I figured when LIP replaced mine they probably didn't use an OEM one anyways.

I also realized why I knocked off my bumper and probably ripped the liner out in the first place. It was because I didn't have the OEM under panel installed in that corner. that under panel gives the whole bumper/fender liner/splash shield more support, for say when you hit a cone. I'm betting if it was there all I would be doing is wiping cone marks off.

talk to me about after market radiators... who is running what and what do or don't you like about it?

I'm thinking about throwing in an aftermarket rad before I head up to the Glen next month for some added cooling.

I had one on the miata. Aside from the extra coolant capacity they are more resilient (i.e dont develop cracks like the plastic) and the all-metal construction will dissapate heat better imo. They also look kewl :P

I had a flying miata core, but i hear good things about koyo.

The evo rad is pretty gnarly, so I would probably wait till you need a replacement. You do have alot of miles...hmm

Did you ever get that mini battery in?

I've got the Mishimoto one. I've had it for over a year, and its working great. It's slightly thicker than the OEM piece, but it fits perfect. Petey gets great pricing on them too, so it was an easy choice. I do like the CBRD radiator if you're looking to spend that kind of money. Also, I'm running a blend of 60/40 water to coolant, so my car is running alittle cooler that what it was stock. My temp gauge is steady at all times, even in the heat when we autox....just saying

As you know I have the Mishimoto also. I think the construction is top notch, esp for the price. I think my car runs a little cooler also, but its hard to tell with the dummy oe gauge. I swear it's slightly lower on the dial though. I don't have any complaints about it... I'm sure there's nicer one's on the market, never seen the Koyo in person and I know the CBRD unit is ballin.

My only concern if I were you would be the added thickness. If you put that PeakBoost kit back on your car, I don't know if the Mishi will fit.
