Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
The new lm's are gonna be 18 x 9 +35. Apparently I'll need to run a spacer to clear the front caliper so I'm going to mock it up and see what Im going to need to run. Depending on clearance, new 255 tires may be on order!
I dont have them cause they annoy me when i drive -_-. If either of those sticks moves my powerband higher then I'm not interested. Was just considering doing it cause I'm creeping up on 60k and wanted to do the tbelt. Anything elsee I could get done while I'm doing my belt?
the IX head bolts are essentric... Its kinda like how V-tec works only its not hydraulic... the entire head/block moves slightly to dynamically change compression and keep the engine operating in the correct VE range. Pretty cool stuff.

If this is all true please sort out the suspenion at least. At least raise the ride height to an acceptable level. It may not be a bad idea to loose the coilovers and go back to your Bilstein struts (I thought that I recalled you mentioning some Bilsteins). If you want to leave the car stock power wise, that's great. But if you choose to do anything, please get the car tuned. If you choose to replace the MIVEC cams, make sure to replace the exhaust (at least) in addition to having the car tuned. Please correct me if I am wrong on any of this, and I will gladly retract. Please Andy, your car deserves better.
On a separate note, I think those LM's are going to look amazing. I think that they will perform amazingly with some 255's on them. Sorry, I had to get that one in as well.

Got an article on what you just explained?
Andy, I think it's time that we have an intervention. I don't mean to be a dick, but you are not helping your car out in any way with these modifications. First you said that you purchased KW's only to achieve a low ride height. Then you admitted that the car is so low that you can't turn hard, because your wheels/tires will rub all over the place. Now you want cams, but you don't want additional power. Why would you even want to swap out the OEM MIVEC cams? Is it for the lope? Did you ever even get the car tuned? Again I am not trying to be mean spirited.

so what should i expect for the porsche autox. text me. i need your impressions.
YOURE SUCH A DICK. i kid. I definitely need to get the car tuned. Just finding the time is hard for me. He only tunes on saturdays but i work every saturday. Chu offered to take my car in for a tune for me but I feel bad having someone waste their whole day (even though chu probably has nothing else to do!) The ride height will be sorted out but, again, time is the issue. Chu offered to take my car to r/t for my alignment/suspension but I feel bad having him waste a whole day (even though he probably has nothing else to do.)

it was my action of me penciling in a track day under something very unpleasant on my list....making it a low priority. it was a joke.

i'll do all the things chu offered to do. a day at the dyno or rt tuning spending someone else's money is a great time for me.

No need to txt you my impression, I'll tell you right here, just don't take my word for it and come to your own decision based on your experience.
First off I've never done an AX with RTR, I've done HPDE's with them and they are tied for the top two regions I've ever run with (PCA - Schattenbaum region being the other). They run a GREAT show with regard to HPDE so take what I'm about to say with regard to AX with a grain of salt. For all I know their AX program could be as good as their HPDE's. I have done a couple PCA autox's with the NJ regions and came away feeling less than happy, which I contribute mostly to the fact that I wasn't driving a Porsche. Pete was pretty dead on with his assumption in that its a bunch of old farts who all know each other and don't really care for outsiders especially if you're not in their marquee.
Part of why I think a lot of us guys keep attending the philly region AX's is because of the camaraderie you feel, even at your first event, and I just didn't get that with PCA. It was like an "US" and "THEM" mentality. again, vastly different from the HPDE side of things.
Having said that, if I wasn't already running an HPDE that weekend with another PCA region I would still join you guys. It takes more than a couple bad apples to keep me from racing.
Hopefully it will have lots of concrete and only a few cones.
After Sunday's event I now know why it isn't recommend to have a course that you need to use 3rd gear in. Hitting a cone @ speed in 2nd gear will leave a little mark on the bumper, nothing a little elbow grease can't remove. However, hitting a cone @ speed in 3rd gear will likely rip the fender liner out and detach the bumper... ask me how I know.
