T'was joking. I think the R1R will be plenty fine. I ran pressures in the 40s on Sunday, and I think it was much happier in that zone. I may have a set of NT01s to try out soon, as the R1Rs are wearing alittle faster than I expected.

So I rotated my tires last night and washed them clean of all the tar that was caked on the inside of the wheels (I pulled out multiple golfball sized chunks for my front fenders).

While I was in there I decided to see if I could break the nut loose on my camber bolt with my torque wrench (as I couldn't get them before with a reg 1/2") and I was able to do so, my question is, is it the bolt thats a real pain to get out or getting the nut off? <--- hahaha I said getting the nut off!

It's at the Reading Airport is all I know. Not sure what the size will be, but I am under the assumption that the Philly Region SCCA will be handling course setup, and all other autox logistics.

As for you nutting off. Breaking it loose is easy. Pulling out sucks....

first off you shouldn't be using a torque wrench for breaking bolts... thats what a breaker bar is for. A TQ wrench is for torquing bolts, hence the name.

Secondly, I wouldn't move that bolt head unless you have it marked with a marker as it will change your camber. The nut you can move all you want just as long as you hold the bolt head and make sure it doesn't move.

The bolt is the harder of the two to get out. The nut is a piece of cake. Why are you messing with that bolt anyways? Isn't your alignment all set?

I've been to a couple PCA AX's before, but never the one Chu is talking about. I'll keep my mouth shut about how I feel about them so I don't give you guys a bad taste in your mouth before you even get there. Just have an open mind and remember you're a guest at their club so don't expect any favors, so to speak.

This is all I was asking about... thanks.

We'll aware of everything else, I couldn't break it loose before as I do not have a breaker bar. Only wanted to see if I could. I didn't move the bolt head at all, well aware that it changes things if I do. Also, my bolt is effed up, it faces straight down, not out like it is supposed too. Yes, my alignment is set, no, not where I want it.

I will not be going to the Porsche event. I have a feeling it is going to be full of a bunch of douches who think they're better than me because they have a car with the motor in the wrong place.

Wrong place but undoubtedly sexy! Get a metal pipe to sleeve over whatever wrench you have. Then youve got an instant breaker bar. Anybody know anything about cams on the ix (pete, chu?) Im kind of itching to blow some money.

I dont have them cause they annoy me when i drive -_-. If either of those sticks moves my powerband higher then I'm not interested. Was just considering doing it cause I'm creeping up on 60k and wanted to do the tbelt. Anything elsee I could get done while I'm doing my belt?

I don't really care what they think... but if their cars are like some of the ones I saw on Sunday, yes. 1986 911's do nothing for me what so ever. My buddy had one 2 yrs ago, junk!

I know how to make a breaker bar... I just don't own one at this particular time.

You should spend some money on new rubber to protect those fancy wheels you buy.

Thats exactly what they will do... your money is better spent somewhere else.
