Yes grease pins and any metal to metal areas. I also did the shim pads and back of pad. Don't go crazy but spread it around. Chances are something is rubbing without grease and cause noise. You still have the stock shims right?
I got stock shims and i have some shims that came with a set of hawk hps pads - strangely they only cover 50% of the back of the back (like diagonally cut shims)
I should take off the wheel and grease everything up- including my entire body.

I never grease mine, just clean them up real good with some steel wool. I get some noise from my pads when they first get compressed. I chalked it up to running pads for a STi, as the Carbo's thickness is different between the two cars eventhough its the same dimensionally.
Do it!
