Well I spoiled myself with beer last weekend. When I was at "the party" there was NN on tap, yet I found myself sneaking out to my car to fill up with my newest addition to the family..
Enter big black voodoo daddy.

I am contemplating cracking one tonight but unlikely.. I am SURE 06RS can appriciate this one

I still have a bit of remorse for how much I paid, but I figure it will dwindle over time.. I plan to save some for the next few christmas eves

I can say this: Bella Vista distribution is my new fav. local beer store
I got to meet the brewmaster of voodoo at grey lodge and have a few "love childs" courtesy of voodoo, it is also an excellent beer. But once I saw this case I had to buy it.

I'm up for a trade if anyone has anything comparible

Marc just let me know how you wanna get a hold of the brackets. If you can find em in that box, they are yours!

Chu, had put some thought into a stiffer set of springs but I really don't know if my dampers can handle that much of a higher rate. That'll take some looking into. I'm really only interested in eliminating a lot of the body roll I'm seeing. I don't feel it that much driving but it looks a lot more stated in pictures. I would have liked to think with the upgrades that would have been reduced more. Really wish I had the Ohlins like you and Marc, but thats not happening anytime soon.

The last two events my lip took a beating, esp at Boeing. That lot left its mark. Every turn in it dipped down and dragged along, so shes def swaying side to side. I'm starting to look to see what my best options are right now, easiest is to up the damping and start to see what swaybar would work best for me.

Your front rates are alittle on the soft side in my opinion. You have 6k or 8k fronts now dont you? I'd say leave the back where they are, and increase the front alittle. That's my opinion though. I do remember pointing out to someone how your lip looked like it was touching the ground! I may have 8k springs at home, I would have to check. However, You should adjust your dampening first and see where it goes. I bet there's still alot of adjustability in there!

I'm running 9k/11k and it feels great so far. But thats front street driving. Marc is around 10k/12k? I remember how stiff it was when I took a ride with him to get food. It felt great though.

I haven't tried one yet, but I have a few bottles of Big Black Voodoo Daddy stashed away in my beer cellar. It can definitely be stored for a while, and would probably benefit from aging. If you would want to trade some, you could get something good in return from the trading section on BeerAdvocate. I don't believe that BBVD is available outside of PA, and there are people all over the country that would trade for BBVD.

And yes, people trade beer. It gets addictive and expensive.

As for Bella Vista, they are a hell of a beer distributor/wholesaler. They are actually responsible for bringing a lot of the great breweries that have recently come to Philly. They recently made a distribution agreement with Alesmith of San Diego. Alesmith is an awesome brewery, so stay tuned. The Foodery just opened a beer distributor right around 2nd/Girard (might be on Germantown ave or American st). I haven't been there yet, but it would probably be worth checking.

BTW Do you accept beer as payment for Evo tuning?

end beer geek rant...

For sure son! You know I'm always down for stogies and a beer! I'll bring some good smokes! How about the night of the 27th, after my tune! lol...ok ok, how about Friday night?

The Sander, Pistol, and myself have been the the Foodery Ben is mentioning. Great selection, but expensive.

While I dont remember the beers I drink, or where it came from, I do enjoy them at the moment.

The distributor or the bottle shop(s)?. They've been at 10th/Pine and 2nd/Poplar for a while. What they just opened is a proper distributor (cases only).

Ben my gf lives right around the corner from the new distributor, it is quite legit.
I myself have not been in there yet but I received a picture via text alerting me to its presence. Caption had one word, "damn..."

Chu, the springs are 9/10k front to rear if my memory serves me correctly. Ride is still very smooth and has an upward half of adjustability left. I would love to have my car set up like Marc's, kinda where I'm aiming.

Those are the rates I run as well(10/12). Seems too soft to be autox rates imo.
