Relax, the noise will get figured out, just be persistent!
It has to be a strut or something in the front, I am leaning toward the strut but its a total guess. A thorough look over of front suspension should reveal problem. I know you will work it out....

I've been dealing with the noise for over 6 months, it needs to be put to bed. I'm still certain it has to do with the swaybar, maybe I can get some pics this weekend to show you what I feel under there. The swaybar is worn on the driverside from it making contact with the crossmember, that wouldn't be strut related I don't think. What the effe do I know though...
agreed. cherry hill triplex is a bit shady too. I went to look at RA's with a friend and the salesman was bragging about the 500 hp evo they built in the shop and then sold later (with stock parts of course).

What is it with these VW folks. I'm in the RA the other day and there is a bottle neck coming up the road, two lanes squeezing into one. I take my time I don't see anyone beside me that I have to negotiate with to see whose going to get to the single lane first. Then all hell brakes loose, from behind me a Golf (?GTI?) roars out in front of me at high speed but he has to stomp the brakes hard because there is a light not far ahead and traffic.
