in other news i fixed my fuel leak created by a leaking injector. turns out the orings that came with the DW800 injectors were waaaaaay too big. i thought i was an idiot by having so much trouble with them the first time. i swapped the bottom rings for the OEM ones (the old ones because dambrosio wouldn't sell me new ones unless i gave my name address and VIN......).

so i cleaned everything up and lubed the hell out of the orings on both sides with motor oil this time. they pop in effortlessly (probably how they should hence making installing injectors not such a bad experience). i start the car and i have major fuel leaking from all four at the fuel rail. I wanted to shoot myself because i zipped pretty much everything up. I got my wife out to start the car to see for sure where the leaks are coming from and they leaked bad for another second then completely stopped. i drove around and did some pulls and check it a million times.....no leaks or hissing. i am hitting 27 psi on most pulls now. so right now i am still like WTF?!. I didn't changed anything with the seals in the fuel rail.

i am thinking i had too much oil on and around the oring that it took a little bit of time before it made a seal and got seated properly. any opinions? i've also come to the conclusion that i don't like these injectors for reasons i won't get into to end this long *** post.

anyone want to guess why i had a leak?

Good Job Danimal! As for the date, if you want to host, then any date you want. I can also host if you guys want to trip down Philly.

Bob, if there is urgency to your rolling, then we can do it this weekend sometime. However, my feeling is that you shouldn't have pigs sitting in your back seat anyway!

JNZ is one of the best places to order OEM parts from, i'd also deal with Extremepsi for OEM stuff.

JSC speed meet tonight at 7pm. Few friends are going and the weather seems to have cleared up so i'm debating taking a cruise over there.

I've had a PM conversation with dek, but this could help out someone in the future so I figured I'd share.

When installing the injectors, be sure to liberally apply lube to the o-rings. We are aware that the lower o-rings are slightly bigger than OEM, this was done on purpose. When you have a high boost application, the larger o-ring creates a tighter seal and we've heard from our tuners that they prefer that. We've had a couple reports of tearing, but we've just shipped out a new set to fix the tear.

Dan, I have an intake mani gasket for a X if you should ever need it. Mitsuparts.net shipped it to me by accident... prob because I didn't give them my vin.

I think the name and address is for the customer database and the vin is to determine the right parts because of liability issues. The Mitsu software in the parts department can lookup parts based on VIN. For example, the aero kit is different on the 09 and 2010 models from the 08's. The software saves them the trouble of remembering which kit to order etc I guess. We have a s/w system here at subaru that is very similar.

Thank you Pete. I just got an e-mail from ETS that they are shipping the solenoid by overnight. So I should have it by this weekend. When is the KHC Dyno day again?

I was going to try and go to atco but the weather isn't lookin' too good. The night before I drove them on the street to a car meet. Thinkin' about just driving down to the track on them instead of switching them over all the time. They did pick up some rocks, though, and left marks on the tire but that happens when I go to the track anyway.

well guys, i am officially about to break 50K after traveling throughout VA, MD, DE, an PA for the last week. Just pulled it in and I have 49,995 miles. About to be closer to 100K than 0. it is a sad day indeed.

other news for me, the issue I was having was not in fact with the plugs (there clean) its my front 02 sensor begining to go out. Running super rich and getting terrible MPG. not exactly a cheap OEM part and it looks to be a PITA to install. wohoo very excited about that one.

josh your not free tomorrow correct? only thursday u said...?

haha i was waiting to see who the first one to call me out was, and what do you know, it was chu! haha. its all good, just dont feel like paying for 02 sensor and save for the 60k service and pay off my new tires all at the same time. its all part of the game tho.

so who all has new 02 housings? i figure if im in there replacing the sensor, it would be the perfect time to throw a ported or new housing in, but have heard mixed reviews about noticeable results.

Are you a member at the pool at White's Road Park? If so, how much is it for the summer? I'm thinking of joining next year when our baby is old enough to be in a pool.

I can't make it but don't worry about it. The wife works late today. Don't get the OEM sensor, get the universal one from Autozone/Pep Boys etc. It's $60, not the $300 or so for the OEM. It's this guy right here. I've run one for a few years. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...&parentId=42-0
