I tried reading this, but quit after what shouldve been the first paragraph, mainly because it was in fact the first sentence.

You are essentially just paying a shop to yank the motor out and put it back in after the machine shop puts its back together.

Stories like this make me consider driving 10 hours south to AWD to get major work done. I don't have disposable income and I would rather the work get done right the first time.

I hope everything works out for you. Something tells me this won't be the end of it.
Yup, AWD is where my car is at

wow, ive never heard of the whole sharkbite ordeal. Just searched thru about 20 videos back and forth about it on youtube. Seems like he got shafted HARD!

To the OP, theres many shops this way that have good reps. Ivey, 1320 Performance, and TurboTrix are all within 20 minutes of one another. CBRD is another a little farther away.

Damn that sucks man! I just recently went through a bs ordeal for over 2 years w/a local shop here, they even shafted Mike @awdmotorsports by taking over 4-6 months just to send back my motor core and head. I will never do business w/them again. My evo is still not running right. Wish we had more support here like you guys in the states. Hope you get everything sorted out w/receipts and everything.

pruven went down hill like 2 years ago with falling outs or what not. but yeah quick little review of shops around here and you would have had your car back and better than ever.

I tried to warn our community about PRUVEN PERFORMANCE and there shady work and no respect for customers and their cars, their tunning and workmanship is the worst I have ever seen and let's not even talk about there customer service that a whole book on it own.

I feel for you man, Dan is still ripping off customer's what a shame and now he has a side kick to help with the dirty work dyno flash.
