car blew and engine and caught on first on our first hot lap at the beginning of the session, red flag the entire session on saturday.




car hit a wall at turn 2 on our first hot lap as it starts to rain. track was already damp from steady misting all day. i was still on hoosier. black flag almost the entire session. i went wide exiting turn 1 when i saw him spin thinking there might be oil on track that caused him to spin.

i didn't see the fire but when Tim B came around the corner, he said there was fire underneath the car.

 

I went back and looked at the laps while I was doing the ride along, 2.22 was the fastest according to his lap timer sitting on the dash. It felt fast because your in a car no wider than two bucket seats.

Those are fast laps, I bet it feels very quick in that tiny little car. I would have loved to ride in that thing, I'm all about having one of those as a toy, just too expensive for meh. I had to work a little at catching and getting around him, I never said it was easy.

 

he was on Rcomp and better hp/weight ratio then you, no excuse

 

I would have thought a car like that on R-comps would have been MUCH faster than 22's. For comparison I ran 22's in my bone stock bimmer the first time I was there... on street tires.

 

I ran a 21 in the rain on my first ever lap there on street tires with the boost turned way down and on diesel fuel.
