^ this track was challenging because there was some very fast sections and some very slow sections in the 40 mph range. there are also a lot of off-camber turns that are very fast. one particular off-camber turn was about 100 mph.

Jordan also did great, he was flying. he got the fastest time on street tires (255 Z1) with 2:39 ish. he also found out that he can't drive for **** without ABS , badly flat spot his hoosiers to the cord and nearly crash into the wall when the brakes locked up.

I lost ABS at Lightning before. Luckily, I caught it and backed off the brakes. Was going about 90. Scary feeling when it's unexpected.

he knew he didn't have ABS before going out, the wheel ripped the sensor wire out the previous session.

After the first 5-10 minutes of running, I really enjoy it. The first few minutes I find myself thinking why am I doing this, everything hurts from low back down, but it eventually mellows out and then I really enjoy running. Runners high is the best, feels like you can just run forever, love that.

Who is this Foren dude and why have I not met him to show him the line?!?!

Congrats to Thai I guess, cause he got to stand on the podium.
Mike, it wasn't an alignment problem at all. car felt good. there is something funky with my alighnment, though, cause my front tires aren't wearing even. Gonna have RT check it out this week and see whats up. Its probably due to me changing my tie-rod end/toe last week.

I told you lightning was about as basic as it gets for track around here, sans pocono. You fools would love monti. ONly problem is its not open to the public, so getting in there is tough. Next best thing is Shenandoah.

You'll meet Mark F. when you come to another event. You guys would hit it off well, he's a little craizer than you but you both have that go 150% or go home attitude so I think you'll be besties in no time.

Marc got me on street tires on saturday for sure.

sunday, i learned my lesson and not goof around and take full advantage of all the sessions. i was fastest of all the evo's in all the session and picking up time each sessions i went out. the morning session would have been perfect condition for the fastest time, cold air and track not too hot and greasy. but i was still learning the A6, so my fastest time came on the last session when i was getting more confident with the hoosiers, but the track wasn't as ideal as the morning session.

Marc did a great job considering his A6 were nearly corded and his car not as setup as my car. i should have much quicker consider the level of preparation of my car compare to his car. i wasn't pushing it because i keep hearing Marc and Foren loosing there brakes on the track, and this track is not very forgiving, like Glen.

also, you've own the evo for how many months and you seem to know everything about them? what different turbo is capable of and what tuning options is best? what with all the power mod and tuning experience you have with your evo? oh wait, didn't you say all your **** was stock? alwaystalkingnonsence. grow up kid

Very well said.

Good time this weekend, dude. THanks for the help getting use to the hoosiers. Def wouldn't have been able to push as hard as I did without those tips. Congrats on the Nguyen in TT2!

gotta go thru those vids I have. I was behind him when he did the little 45* slide in the off-camber section.

Thanks again to Thai, Team Foren & Jordan for the help, support, tools and parts this weekend. Also thanks for Shoe Motorsports LLC for lending me the A6's that knocked 5 seconds off my street tire times.

here is a quick clip of the fastest lap my phone got from Sunday on the ho-ho's. NOt my fastest lap of the day but you can see the speed delta between street's and r-comps compared to the last vid I posted. I think this is session 1, but not sure, might be session 2. Following Thai and Team Foren around. I can see so many places where time can be made up by being smoother and not overdriving it so much. This really was a very high speed autox course, just with no cones. Probably the most challanging track I've done so far.

Really hope I can get another crack at this track in the near future.

this is what happen when brake rotor explode on CTS-V. check out the chunk of rotors and calipers flying off behind the car. some car picked up the caliper and dragged it half way down the straight before spitting it out, it was just a melted hunk of aluminum by that time. Ben hit a chunk of the rotor and ripped several hole under his C5 vette.
