Guys spend too much time thinkin about spring rates...Just drive the F'n cars! Besides stiff is less forgiving when you bounce off the curbing or take a shortcut thru the grass.

After looking into them and see how simple it is, I don't know why I haven't had one before now. The unit attaches through a knockout on the side of the box, and wires into a dedicated double pull breaker. Mine is a smaller unit, so it was a 20amp double pull. Got it on closeout from HD online for cheaps, so figured I'd try it out.

Funny thing is, I should never know how well it works... because I won't know if I had a surge event that it protected against. On the other hand, I'll know if it fails!
