I really wanted to do that event and win 1st place. I only wanted to run Saturday but it's $600(with transponder) with no choice of just doing 1 day.. which is all the time I would need.

I finally got around to finishing my WGI videos. Here is my fastest time on the last session of Sunday. I was running in the high 2:30's, but finally got clear of traffic for a lap and hit a 2:34. I know it's nothing special, but I am happy with my improvement over the weekend.

My instructor was good and had me focusing on corner entry and staying smooth through the turn. He didn't want me going for top speed and late braking. Which is fine as I had plenty to worry about for my first track weekend. So instead of straight speed I worked on corner speed and brought my times down that way. So next time maybe I can start putting more things together.

My instructor did say at the end of Sunday that he thought I did very well for my first time at a track. He said I should be able to hang in C without too much trouble, and would approve me moving up. But he said it's all up to the organizers on if they would move me up with limited # of track day experience.
