Its $35 core charge. For the hassle of losing out on track time I will eat the core charge until this reman'd one proves worthy, then I'll return it and get ma core monies back!

FWIW, I've done 2 autocrosses,1 track day, and mean daily commutes. Launched a couple of times on them at 6500rpm 2step, hard 2nd gear shifts. I think I got my $100 out of them already, if they go a year later well I'll just replace them free.

It only took me about 1hr total to do using jacks, stands, and electric Harbor Freight impact gun. Since track days are free for you, breaking after a session or two isn't the same as a student breaking losing $3-400 just need a spare to get you home but I don't see that happening with reman'd units.

Also AutoZone Duralast brand does not require a core charge, and they look and feel great out of the box. So keep your oem one and repack it for just incase you have issues at track just to get you home.

Drove the RA after 2 weeks sitting. Lights up no problems and it wants to play. I'll take it out Sunday and let it to kiss some cones. Felt great to be behind the wheel. Last thing I rode in was a motor bike on Saturday, that ish was fun. BMW.. low tire warning light, bah.

You know its the truth when I first read this and thought it said "why does slow car need a huge wing."

Huge wing will hurt me even more without a nice 5" protruding front splitter. Car might do a black flip on the front straight. APR said it's 450+lbs of DF at 10*.

Robert, 2 weeks ain't ****. If it doesn't start after sitting for two weeks then something is broken.

Marc, I came across some pretty serious cv boot clamps at autozone not too long ago if you decide to replace the boot. It would be like the cv boot equivalent to t-bolt clamps. They're cheap too (like under $1.50 each).
