I'm going to sound completely newb with this, but could someone please confirm for me Castrol GTX is a conventional oil, and not a syn-blend. I bought it 100% sure it was conventional. Feel like I'm just doubting myself. LOL.

I actually thought GTX was semi synthetic

Edit: Nevermind. They have different GTX products, one of them being a synblend that is clearly on the label.

Stupid labels don't say it. I know it's not synthetic because that would be the EDGE line. I think I might just go to ACME and look for some real conventional oil!

Castrol GTX uses premium, custom-made additives and is the most advanced conventional oil available
Ultra-low friction to improve gas mileage**
Maximum protection against viscosity & thermal breakdown
If you want friction, you're probably better off store brand conventional oil.

Friday,09 Nov 2012 13:14:23 [TCP SYN Flood][Deny access policy matched, dropping packet]
I think my router is toast and that replacing it will cure the internet drops. Anyone else know anything about TCP SYN Flood? I read it could be I have Malaware on my system but I ran Malawarebytes, Housecall and Hijack this, nothing was found so I assume my computer is clean.
That "TCP SYN Flood Deny access.." is your Router doing it's job and preventing that Attack by dropping the packet.

Check your wiring, check your network card (updates, firmware) before you replace a part like your router and aren't really sure where the problem is. Is it just your machine that drops Internet connection? If you have malware on your computer that could be chewing up your Internet connection and causing you to see 'drops'. When your Internet connection drops how long is for? Is it occasionally or is it for a few minutes? Do you have another PC or device in the house you can check to see if they are dropping Internet connection too? If they aren't you have something on your machine doing it or possibly a driver problem.

More times that not it could be a problem on your machine, malware or something like that. Run anti-virus scan (Microsoft Security Essentials is decent, free too), run a malware cleaner then reboot and see how it goes.
