You don't NEED mods to be fast around a racetrack. An experienced driver can get more out of a car than throwing parts at it. There were plenty of examples of this at the GTA event a couple weeks ago, lol. IN fact, in many cases adding too many mods can hinder your development.
I've always felt it was silly to mod such a capable car as the EVO when the driver still has much room for improvement... thats why I have a basement full of aftermarket parts I'm not using.

Apparently my tires are so sticky I broke my windshield...
First seesion, second lap, entering T3:

by T5 it looked like this:

(though the above video capture is from T11 since you can barely see it in the video at T5)
I didn't notice it until my third session...watching the video you can see it go from nothing to a few inches to where it is in that image between T5 and T11...
Looks like I need to turn up the chassis stiffness.
