in the M3 T10 is flat-out in 4th gear... but thats cause we have turn 9 to slow us down.lol I wouldn't dare do that with the nascar configuration. It would be cool to do a couple laps without the boot just to feel the difference.

 

NASCAR owns Grand Am as of two or three years ago...that's why GA has so much better TV coverage than ALMS/WC, a ton of driver cross over, use of many of the NASCAR owned tracks, and a few shared weekends (notably, Indy and WGI).

Marc, he's referencing RTA as Redline Time Attack, not Real Time Attack. RTA's demise was pretty unfounded, and they pulled out completely. I understood theri move on the east coast, as attendance was not great and it became a question of the bottom line. Redline was the IT time attack event in the U.S, and their demise almost took out time attack i nthe US...until GTA came around. Mike mentions in his post ablout the ability to get big sponsors as a result of Redline. I really think their comeback is due in part to seeing the success of GTA and being able to bring out some big dogs on the west coast, and also gettign some west coast cars to travel to the east coast. All I see in this is the potential for some people to make money. THis is all just my opinion though.

Its also obvious in the post he's calling out alot of shops to stop hardparkign and start racing. Awesome!
