Truth! My sisters Eos w/49k uses a qt of earl every 7-800 miles. She was told that was perfectly fine according to VW guidelines.

if your motor burns oil trying doing a track day and getting that ish REAL hot... see if it still does it then.

I'm not saying that will fix everything, but when I got the m3 I noticed it was burning oil at a pretty good rate... something like 1.5qt every 1k miles. Took it to the track and beat the snot out of it for a single day at lightning and the oil comsumption issue was gone. This was a motor that had 90k when I got it and has 99,997 right now.

I've mentioned this to a few other people at the track and have heard similar stories in return. mind = blown!

The story behind the Audi is that my stepfather got a new job and is inheriting a company car from the guy he replaced. It's an Audi A4 with 30k miles that apparently burns through like 3 quarts of earl every 2k miles. The original "owner" took it to the dealership and was told that he probably wasn't driving it hard enough which could be interpreted that the rings didn't seat properly when the car was new.

I'm trying to get my **** taking clueless stepfather out for this event. He has no excuses now that he has four cars at home to choose from.

Harbor freight has 1/2" torque wrenches on sale for 9.99.

Also, we're at 21 registered for the pcd domination. All garage spots are taken but there is still room to hardpark in the grass

Petey turbo where you at, playa?? You should sign up and show us the awd drag race line, lol.

wonder if they'll allow RC planes are Heli. i could bring mine and put cameras on them for some mad tyte aerial footage. i could stand on the tower and follow the cars down the front straight.

here's a video i made with a cheap forward facing camera and i also taped my phone to plane for facing down view. and yes, i was using the TrackMaster app while the phone was on the plane. i think the video could turn out good if i use a go pro or sony action cam.

^ The movement of the plane isn't fluid enough to really be able to watch... maybe it could work though. You can always try and see how it turns out, but you better turn up the boost if you think that thing is gonna hang down the straight.

Working 10hrs on a Sunday, ftn!

^ a wide angle camera would take some of the moment away, plus i wasn't trying to be smooth. but in glide mode, it can be smooth. this one can do about 40 top speed. but my Stryker can do 100 mph.

For a guy who complains about racing series where the drivers run into each other/bump their competitors out of the way, you sure do watch an awful lot of it... sayin'

OMG, Dan has found something more exciting than Grand AM!!!!

BTCC is good racing..but its also British's version of Nascar with the bumping and crashes.

Australian V8, Jaroen Bleekemolen, mad Nguyen!

DTM, barely get to watch. Just read and see compilations. What station are you catching it on Dan?
