I didn't read any of the info on the video but what is that from? Those grand stand were fully packed. It had to have been a kart race before a major series race.

They are called Superkart, and often run on regular road course tracks. Very popular in europe but they do run in US also.

I still wonder how HPDEs are ran for motorcycles.

I'd be skurd to do hpde on motorcycle but then if I had a crotch rocket, it's probably best to run it on a track than try to do 140mph down the PATP with other drivers.

I want to learn to ride. Ever since I got to less around with an 800lbs Harley, I'm semi interested in trying it out though I won't spend any money or go far out of my way to do so....

Learning to ride a bike isn't hard. Even a dummy like me has a license.

I didn't think it was but I'd have to learn on a beating bike rather than risking dropping a chromed out $20k hog or nice crotch rocket. I suspect a cruiser type bike would be easier to learn on than a crotch rocket because of how you sit.

Do all bikes have controls for both front and rear brakes (right hand = front brakes and right foot = rear brakes)?

The first bike I rode was a chromed out Victory...lol. I think the guy paid $27 for it. It was heavy as f*ck, and my legs were too short to touch both pedals at the same time. I managed to circle the block. The second bike I rode was a Yamaha R1 Raven, beautiful crotch rocket.

Every bike I've ridden has front and rear brake controls. I don't know if they make it any other way. Only difference form driving is learning to use all your hands and feet at the same time...

Some bikes only come with a rear brake. Typically those are custom hardparker's.

Braking is the most challenging aspect for me. Holding your weight up using core and legs helps, but requires alot of discipline. Looking through turns becomes a necessity if you don't want to crash.
