NJ 2.3/2.4L Evos help...

Hey guys,

Trying to see, if there are any local (NJ) Evos with a 2.3/2.4 who would being willing to take me for a ride...

I am currently putting together a build, and I am a little torn on if the added cost of the 2.3/2.4s is worth it. I have never been in one, so at this point my opinion is base solely on numbers and evo forum info. I'd really appreciate a real world understanding of the engine, so if anyone would be kind enough to meet up and take me for a ride, that would be greatly appreciated.

I wont' be able to take you for a ride because my car isn't fully tuned, but I'll tell you the low-end torque is really nice. If you've ever driven an STI, you notice immediately what the Evo is missing on low-end. You can also expect turbo spool to be quicker. There are a number of guys that have gone to a stroker, and said they'd never go back to a 2.0.

As far as cost, it doesn't cost much more honestly. The only additional cost is buying a 100mm crank, which are cheap if you get an 4G64 crank. You're paying similar prices for a 2.0 build for all of the other parts.

Honestly, I would if it were anywhere tuned and ready to show-off, but its not. I recently finished the build and put all of 2 miles on the motor in the past 2 weeks.
