Hta 3794r , applications ?

So what applications would it be used for ? is it purely for dyno numbers , drag racing ? would anyone daily drive or autocross on this little monster ?

where does it spool with strokers 2.3/2.4?

is it purely for dyno numbers: No....lots of people run them for various purposes.

drag racing: Sure you could use it for that

would anyone daily drive or autocross on this little monster : Sure why not, people have done crazier, there might be better turbos depending on how much you plan on doing this.

where does it spool with strokers 2.3/2.4: To many factors to give you a straight awnser.

Why exactly are you asking?

Actually you have it backwards, there is almost no information on the 3786. 3586 there is a ton and the 3794 there is a fair amount. The 3794 is best on a 2.4 and in my opinion MIVEC. A twin scroll application will work better but for AutoX it is the wrong choice.

It's the turbo you want to use if you want to make >750WHP.

The 3786HTA will net around and extra 50HP over the standard 3586HTA and will spool around 300-500RPM later.

The 3794HTA is capable of around 900-950WHP and traps in the 170MPH range. The 3786HTA would be around 800WHP and would spool slightly sooner than the 3794HTA.

There's a reason there's not a lot of data on the 3786HTA most people are interested in that turbo we talk into a 3794HTA since it'll do what they want without being pushed as hard and spool comparable.

There are valid applications where the 3786HTA will work better than a 3586HTA but in the EVO world it's not a good fit.

Well I'm upgrading from a older t-67 p-trim dbb (pte6776) so most of the newer turbos including the 3794 should spool faster.

I agree, a 3786 with the larger turbine wheel and a larger twin scroll housing would be killer. I am stuck between my desire to see this turbo first hand or just jumping to a 4205 on my car.

Understandable if you don't want to answer this - but the HTA3786R and HTA3794R, are they based on the same core as the T67BB ( / T04Z) or the one used on the GT3788R?

No that was based off a T4 BB CHRA the 3786/94HTA use a GT35 CHRA as a base. So externally you can't tell it's not a GT35R.

I'm guessing it isn't a GT35 hotside, so that answer was a bit odd. I had assumed it had the same turbine/hotside as a T04Z does but with an HTA compressor wheel but maybe it is something different again?
