Whatever u do, don't buy same day. Make them work for your money, only way to get the best deal.
+1. Don't be impulsive to buy anything. Give your lowball offer and walk. They aren't going to make any decent deals. It'll take 2-4 weeks probably. If anything get an inexperienced sales guy that relies on the finance and sales managers for every move he makes, then walk. Your phone will be ringing off the hook for days.

go check out the cars and find a sales person. find out when he works and show up again during a day he doesn't
get help from another guy and say you know salesperson#1 very well.

The dealer is up by me that has 4 brand new 2011 X's on their lot. I'm definitely not making any rash moves. However, that deal I posted about regarding the lease to own is still very tempting. Especially since I can get into it relaively cheap right now and buy the car. So I can put some cash down now, lease for 2 years, finance the balance, and then make a giant payment at that point. I'll be able to part out my entire car, save some cash to put down on top of it, and get the car I want.

Yes, I can def save money by negotiating a deal, and financing by talking money off the top compared to dealing with a potentially non-negotiable residual value at the end of a lease.

But again, I'll have to wait until this thing is fully parted out before I could make any moves. Ugh.

I hate waiting!!!

Jalal,

Everything is negotiable, especially if they want to sell off their inventory.

No flood damage.

I'll have to look I to negotiating on that lease deal a little more. It seems that's the best opportunity for me right now without having to rely on uncontrollable factors. A.k.a. Selling off my parts and what not.

Don't think to much about lease deals. They are arbitrary amounts to trick you into thinking you are getting a good deal. There are a couple of good websites out there that will show you have to get the best deal. Marc also helped me a lot when I picked up my new f30 last year.

To to edmunds and get your invoice prices, or even find them on this site. Add in whatever package or extras into the car (at invoice price) and see what you get too. In this particular case, if they have 2011 on the lots, you should be shooting for at least 1k below invoice price (factoring in that we are talking about a niche car here, so it will sell eventually). My method for negotiation started at emails and calls, basically lifting one dealer against eachother. At the end, each one practically offered me the same deal that I was happy with.

Pick your price that you would be happy getting for whichever Evo x you want (the newer the better, considering depreciation) and go 1k lower than that on your offer and see if they bite. Also, don't put money down on a lease, your essentially throwing that away, (unless you really are going to buy it out). But in 2 years, something bigger and better will be out, and you'll wish you had that 3k back for another car.

Woahhhhh, 2 bucks a tire cheaper than the zII in 245/40/17 size.

What's the wear like compared to the star specs?

Just use a different tire at each corner of the car.

Get the benefits of every brand!
