Oh, and also make sure you wired the fan the correct way this time, if you removed it.

i think there is a tester you can get to see if there is oil in your coolant or coolant in your oil...
leakdown test will help as well

Hopefully my issue will be all taken care of tomorrow. As I has originally suspected, my idle air valve is bad. Took it off/apart and that little bastard is all busted up.

At least that's an easy and cheap fix.

There is no smoke, no coolant loss, no milky coolant or oil. Everything has always looked clean every time I drain, including this last time. I can smell antifreeze but I think that is now my heater core. Previously I had leaks from the hoses that run from engin to firewall, but that is fixed. Nothing is leaking as far as I can tell.

Thai, the pressure in my valve cover is ridiculous, way more than normal. I am pretty sure I did a leak down test already. I rented some kit from Autozone, I will have to check and see what I got. Never returned it so I could use it again now but I went thru all this and still no fix.

Grillo, it Spikes right after start, when I first start driving. I am usually at partial throttle for a minute or 2 when I turn of my street. That is when it usually pikes and then comes down. Its weird to say the least, not like I am beating on it or anything. I know if I was at track it would overheat right away. It basically stays normal most of the time though, its friqqin weird. Spiking temps can't be good and this thing is pissing me off already.

Can a brutha get a break already....??

Stupid question, but have you checked the accuracy of the gauge and sending unit?

^Oh snap! (to Foren's comment)

Yeah Chu, they're expensive. I almost had a heart attack when I saw what it cost from the dealer.

No, but it seems to be working normally as far as I can tell. But who knows, what method would you use for checking?
The car was running way hot when I tracked it and the guages were pegged then..
