semi R-comp tires are 100 TW like NT01, RA1, R888 ect. they have some threads on them. they are also streetable and often don't heat cycle out. true rcomp tires don't have thread, only two grove and will most likely heat cycle out before they cord.
ZII are more expensive than RS3 but they will also last 50% longer, rs3 are the quickest wearing tires i've seen.
You're still trying to learn the car, so it's best to go with lower traction tires so you get to limits easier and at a safer lower speed. that's also why it's good to learn in the rain because you can get to the limits at lower speed. and why they spray down skid pads with water.
i actually have more fun driving on all season tires because i can be on the limits most of the time and the car is more controllable at limits.
oh, and i sat in traffic for 30 minutes longer today because a tractor trailer jackknife and blocked both lanes.
