Im with Chu....not impressed. The trailer is very similar to what the amish use to move sheds.

I have (2) tilt deck trailers for the chump car, and a welder.

I like the idea of a PCD chump car

Awesome video Justin. I can't believe I watched the whole thing.

While others make their goal to be running time trials, my goal is to do some sort of w2w racing down the line like chump or LeMons.

i think a PCD chump car is certainly in the cards for us. I think our biggest issue will be sharing seat time, as there is still a fairly wide gap between each of us with regard to experience and level.

we discussed the PCD chump/lemons car idea before. It sounds good when you're talking about it, but there is a good amount of time involved and with how far apart errbody is geographically it just doesn't seem like it would work.

I heard people do one stint in a chump car then jump right to instructing. BOOM!

Chu must hear that a lot.
They have different size retard. No ramps required and friendly for low cars is a nguyen in my book. How often do chu see people take off front bumper to load car. thats right, chu only come out to track twice a year.

agreed, it would probably only be limited to who is close enough to put the time in i suppose. Maybe in a couple years and a couple more promotions lol. Or if one of us wins the lottery, they can pay for it all .

I think with the size of our group and our friends outside of the group, I think we could pull off two chump or Lemons cars. That would also make it interesting to have two teams racing against each other. We could trade drivers and teammates year to year based on whatever points system we develop. It would be fun.

We, Team Cardorks, have three cars....when we had a pool of 18 drivers it was a lot of work. We now have a "primary" pool or seven drivers then look for 2-6 more for arrive-and-drive type of situations or to fill in when one/some of the eight can't make an event. It is so much effort to put a race together and manage..it didn't help that we built a new car and completely revised an existing car.

Currently we have the newly built E36 with four drivers/owners, the refreshed E30 (with E36 running gear) with three driver/owners, and the Acura Integra that we turned into an arrive-and-drive/rookie car. We put three people in that car at Watkins Glen. One will get the chance to run in the E30/E36 if a spot opens up because he was able to put in a time within 10% of the target set by me on Satuday (this driver turned 2:35s during the day...I got in for the last stint and ran a 2:28...then on Sunday he ran 2:30-31 all day).

Two cars, if the same platform/running gear are perfect in my opinion, but if you have different platforms then it gets sill expensive to field the cars. If anyone wants to sit down and have a conversation about what's involved let me know.

Also, I will let you guys know when seats open up in our cars...we require a test day at an HPDE environment (which you guys would all do fine at) then one event in the rookie car (if you don't have any w2w experience).
