PCD: 2013-2014 Till We Break It Edition

Good time talking and hanging out Phil, do you plan on going to the September event as well?
Nate, tilton carbon/carbon tripple with unsprung discs is what you want. also get a new master and slave cylinder while your at it and might as well do a pedal box while you're in there. DE ain't a game, son!
500. I got less than 400, but only got there for the end of the day on Friday.
Friday & most of Saturday I thought errthing went smooth. I didn't see any really bad passing going on, but I did see a lot of trains in the A-solo group when I went in there a few times on Saturday. Don't know if it was instructors or A-solo guys causing them.
I don't know what the A-solo guys (or their mentors) were *****ing about. If someone give you a point on the wrong side or you don't want it then just wave it off. no big deal. There isn't a gun to you head making to take the pass. I don't care where I pass as long as I'm comfortable with it. I was givin off-line point-bys where the guy would drag race me to the outside of the corner, but he still let me in eventually. Its all part of the sport, IMO.
Some clubs or private track event I've run with don't even require a point by and you can pass anywhere you want on track. it not a big deal.
The only time I've complained is the PCA event Dan and I ran back in April, where a guy in a cup-car was taking some really bad passes in white group, and could have potentially caused some bad accidents if the other drivers weren't paying attentions. One of the white group students chased him down after our afternoon session, and *****ed him out.

Also, I think the ITS guys were out with us almost all of the shessions and most of the time they were the ones holding everyone up. I heard only 2 people got signed off in ITS on Saturday, they weren't happy with their performances either.
500 track miles is mad fuel. Open track friday and 6 shession each day is nuts for solo group. They got the best bang for buck.
Bill mentioned at the instructor meeting friday evening that there were some iffy driving on track during friday open track by solo and instructors.
It wasn't the drivers in ASolo as much as the mentors, they really weren't happy. I didn't have an issue with it, I like running with you guys, or shall I say trying to keep up with.

I got slightly over 300miles on track I'd say. My total round trip was just shy of 900miles for the weekend, figure roughly 500 up and back, plus driving to and from the track.
6 shessions a day was the shizz, love that they gave A-Solo so much track time.

He was a nice guy but I don't know what he was thinking at Lightning when he dove to the inside and tried passing me in the Lightbulb at a DE event.
That guy was just a jerk Carson. I know some students complained that he passed without point-by. However, some of the passes I saw, one on me included, was very dangerous.
