my thought (and actually my hope) was that they will not sign me off as fast as a certain other organization did. id rather start at the bottom and work my way up properly. i signed up for hpde1 for next week.

dood, HPDE 1... I think you might be a little pissed at the pace of that group. If you have any previous track time (especially if you've been solo'd on another track) I would suggest HPDE2. You can run in 2 with an instructor. HPDE 1 is for straight up beginners.. I get the impression you don't belong in that group.
