That older woman driving that car was a tad skurry with how little of a grip she had on the wheel.

I was able to get 4 decent laps together in a row on Sunday morning...

I did a 2:19.0, 2:18.8, 2:17.5, and a 2:17.8

The 2:17.5 was my fastest of the weekend, not bad considering I wasn't really trying to push.

Video of my best. I didn't upload it in HD, so the quality isn't the best.

so i'm completely torn on what to do for a clutch. i like what ER has to say about the comp 2 unsprung, but im sketched about running an unsprung in a street car. i have a 7600 redline and some guys said the sprung will get a little notchy around 8k...

what do you guys think? im open to recommendations.

How much power you planning to make? 350whp or less, I'd go with exedy oem replacement. I track on one for two years and there was minimal wear on it when I took the tranny out for rebuild and replaced with cluchmaster stage 3. If you're going to do some launching, then you should get something better. Unsprung are a pain to drive in stop go traffic.

The Exedy Stage 1 HD is also a nice clutch; very easy to drive and smooth. That's what I have in the car now. Its recommended for up to 400lb/ft torque. I have done light launches at the autox and it's been fine.

Thai is correct, its an external 1hz TomTom unit that I use with my iPod touch. Works fine for me. Thai and I compaired times between it and what he uses when he was in the car with me last year, it was with .1sec of what his unit recorded.

Nate, I wouldn't use an unsprung on a street car. Like Thai, I use a ClutchMasters (I have stg2) in my car and its been great. Pedal feel is like stock but it does have a narrow window of engagement.

I noticed Thai's clutch and mine are very similar in that both has a very high engagement point...that, or I need to adjust my pedal lower. lol.

Yeah. Bad instructor driving was a hot topic. Not by the solo folks but by the solo "mentors".

I definately had a blast. 500 miles worth. Even got a little quicker with some sage advice.....thanks T. Why can't every weekend be that nice?

Nate, after having used a exedy twin disc for two years, I welcome the day when I can go back to an oem single replacement. It's slight overkill for me. It's not that bad but simpler is more better IMO.

Plus the twin disc absolutely sucks in stop and go driving.
