I would go to Hershey as well but I'm already paranoid that the e85 will not be 85% since its getting closer to winter. Its still 85% in MA as of the other day but I was in NY over the weekend and it tested out to only about 78% so its starting to switch over.

I mapped out my trip and according to my calculation I can make it to Warminster and race with the fuel I bring but its gunna be tight so Im praying the local stations will have 85%.

Do any of you run e85 and if so when is the last time you tested it?

Since most of us track, none of us run it.

Ahh makes sense. Until they sell it at the track I could see that being an issues with its terrible "fuel economy".

It's a love hate relationship for me. Certainly a giant PITA but I do love the additional powa

I used to say the same thing about e85 and believed it was with the effort. Then I switched back to pump gas and very much liked the more linear power delivery and the fact that 93 octane is much better regulate and more consistent than e85. Here in the northeast there were only a few months where the car ran well and didn't occasionally pull timing.

Being back on pump is quite the luxury compared to being on e85.

Plus I was using up all my fuel (about 60 gallons) in one day on just my second or third track day.

You're driving your car in XP, you're gonna raw time me in it, remember?

Note: If you using ho-ho that'd be massive unfair advantage in timing.

Yeah its really not feasible for a HPDE. Maybe a time attack where you only do a couple laps but not a full on lapping day...

This is my 3rd year on e85 now and it is a pain but Im too addicted to go back right now. I've made it work this far. As for the inconsistencies, I have a little tester thingy that works quite well so I just test it before I fill up every time.

So will you be going to Warminster as well on Sunday or just sticking with Hersey? I'd love to meet the "crew" as I only know a select few from events in the past.

I try to save fuel and tires on track.

Actually my car runs so stupidly rich I can suck up nearly 3/4 of tank in one session but that's bad for the environment.
