Hi folks,

I am in the market for an Evo X and I found one at a dealership. When I test drove it, after downshifting from 4th to 3rd, this clatter noise came from the car. It happened again when I downshifted from 5th to 4th. Both times it happened at 4k rpm. The dealership gave me a mod list/invoice and they stated that sound was normal due to the upgraded clutch. This Evo has a Spec stage 2+ clutch (plus other mods). It is a 2010 with 21k miles.

I contacted Ballistic which is the the shop that did the work. They would have to hear it in person before they can diagnose the issue. I don't think I could bring it there unless I dive in and purchase the car first.

So I'm reaching out to you, if any of you might know the person that traded in this 2010 PB evo x, work was done at ballistic motorsports. Dealership is Bonneville & Son. I've also searched around looking for any threads regarding noises but I just want to make sure. I know buying modded cars is like hitting the lottery but any help would be greatly appreciated.
