hit and run now with pics

someone hit my car today and tookoff. It was in a parking lot of all places. I am so pissed right now. and if you are curious about the lines in the pavement? The pics were taken at the police station on base, not the parking lot where it happened.

I've been hit twice like that, i've got two nice scratches down each side of my back bumper. I'm not gonna bother fixing it, the next person who hits me will have to pay for it all.

Sorry man - this always blows. Make sure you report it to the police. You can also try to revisit the lot and look for a car with matching damage, if you find it take pictures and give them to the police. If it is a community type lot (e.g. apartments, grocery store, office, etc.) you can also post a flyer with pictures asking for witnesses. Provide the case number and the local police phone as contact info as well as your own info - somebody may have seen it, or the person who did it may get scared (knowing that the police is involved) and come forward.

Dented my hood last week and my insurance let me get a carbon fiber replacement because I told them that the aluminum was getting dents from rocks on the road. So they let me change it out. I also ordered a clear bra to try and keep this one nice as long as I can.

Bad things happen. You just have to roll with it.....

I have $5,000.00 in damage and you can't even tell in pics. Bent 1" of the leading edge of the hood, replace (1000), scuffed the front bumper, replace (1000), tore the openings where the nose bolts into the fenders, replace both fenders (2000), Misc parts behind the bumper like the foam and the bumper supports (200), misc paint and labor (800) Total $5,000.00.

I slid into the back of an accord in the rain going 5 mhp. With the nose low and the as$ up on the accord the bumper hit my hood and pushed down on the nose enough to tear where it bolts into the fenders. In truth the nose peice is fine I just told the shop I wanted everything that was touched replaced. Gotta love my insurance co. They were good with it. Plus now I won't have any rock chips.

Looking at my car the hood had 1" bent down right in front of the air box snorkel. Drivers side of the hood was bowed up 3/4" by the drivers headlight. Drivers and passengers bumper and fender junction had a 1/2" gap. Intercooler and radiator are fine. Headlights are even fine too. I would have like to get a set of MR lights but I am happy with the stockers and my insurance didn't even go up. Yes, it was my fault, yes I got a ticket (which I got fixed). All in all....didn't cost me a dime more than my 250 dedctable. So I got a carbon fiber hood for 250 installed.

No, I didn't take any pics.... sorry.

lucky me

Luckily the tire marks on the bumper came off with bug and tar remover. So now all I have to worry about is that stupid scratch.
