the shop received the 90 mandrel bent piece for my DP/test pipe this morning. should have it all done by next week sometime. gonna try to do the dp and cat all in one piece. from there i am still open to suggestions. i dont want it super loud though. what do you guys think? cannister, muffler, straight pipe w/a sound deadner? i need advice.

hey josh get the titanium greddy cat back like mine i love it and it doesn't weight that much just 10 punds, and i didn't have an exhust i will go for the hks or the jic magic one, but that is just me.
By the way guys i change my bov hks for the type rs greddy recirculets my car feels so much better but i miss my loud noise

so josh you making your own exhaust? or just down to the cat? i dont think the evo can be that loud...but im used to boxers and L-twins that set car alarms off in a one mile radius.

 

^ yeah i know a guy who manages the penzoil, and they are trying to get some exhaust work. we talked about it, and we are kind of making it piece by piece. i am using mikes DP for a referance (its off the car by way of the rabbit), and we are gonna see if he can build it. i am only worried about the dp as the rest should be a no brainer. he had to preorder the 90 degree bend in the dp cause he didnt think he could do it without crushing the pipe. we are doing it all after hours, so he has no responsibility for the other part shops can get in pretty big trouby for. if it works out okay, or once we work the kinks out of it, i am sure he would do the same for you.

ceasar, i am looking for something totally different, and something that i had a say in every step of the way. i am trying to stay away from what everyone else has, hoping it will make a one off noise. if all goes accordingly i should be into it for a total of about $300. as he said he would do it for me for cost. the 3" pipe is around $10 for the whole thing.

mike- i will look for that muffler, or see what he says about getting it. good idea though.

it was really ugly this morning, but then it got sunny for a few hours, more rain is inevitable by the looks of those off-shore clouds. they were supposed to do a bunch of square dancing on broadway today, but it got cancelled. oh well.
