I may end up going with something different eventually, but i dont think i should pass this up for now. i gotta drive my car daily, and without this trip regardless of what i do its down for a week or so. just a base flash for now, just couldnt pass that up.

 

got the dc combo ordered, and wrap/clamps/coating. hopefully it is all here by friday.

in other news- i got screwed from lancer shop, not only did they lie to me 2x but they double charged my debit card for about $700. money should be reffunded by tommorow, and they didnt even have the part they told me they did have. needless to say i am looking elsewhere. injected performance told me they could call AEM/DC and get them to directly send it from california. i am not sure but am going to work on it tommorow.

thanks mike. i have heard nothing but good stuff about them, and i have to say once i made a complaint, i talked to three different people all two times in the span of about 15 minutes. honestly i was pretty surprised, and they did what they could as quickly as possible. i had to have a mod delete the thread i posted in evo general titled lancer shop sucks. i probably shouldnt have done that but whatever. anyway, i got a $20 gift coupon from them, if someone needs something from them, lemme know, we can work something out. maybe i will put it towards something i need in 10 days, such as a.... shift knob. lol.

 

oh yeah, i did order wrap from jscspeed, and clips, and coating, it should actually be here on time.

try harman motive or rally sport direct. i know harman has the DP.

what cat back are you getting?

is dc sports even that good of a company...i know exhaust is exhaust. i think dc i think honda. i like their dp but the cat back ??? id say invidia, hks, or greddy. if i had the money id go with fujitisubo. rnr doesnt have a bad looking exhaust and you can get the cf/ti can from HKS on it.

 

when are you going up to seattle josh?

would you be willing to drop two things off for me or have someone meet you @ W1 to pick it up. i sold my surf straps and my status seat. if you dont want to deal with it no big deal i can make the trip.

 

mike gave me a couple of links, and i am gonna see what i can do tommorow, dc was recently bought by AEM, and seem to be making a good product. i really wanted to have the dp/test pipe combo. as far as a catback we are building it, but if it doesnt work then long term i will look at something else. regardless it will be exactely how i want it, and i picked out the magnaflow muffler personally. if i get the parts on, and i can make seattle on sunday i would be happy to take some stuff for you. i wont know until later this week (make sure everything gets here) but i am really hoping to run up there on sunday morning, and be back by sunday afternoon. i am only getting a base flash, and it should only take about 30 seconds, i may hang for a little while but not long.

 

oh yeah, bought the mrs a new car 03 passat. was at a dealer in vancouver for hours, and left about 4 times before they got the idea. anyway i like it. i have always been a sucker for VW, but its nice.

 

i had a R32, sister has a passat. if dont own another VW it will be an audi...there is an A3 out there with my name on it.

dick hannah had a black 03 evo for sale. had exhaust but that was the only mod that jumped out at me. had 20k miles, and the paint was chipped to hell, (drumroll.....) only 31K. cracked me up, and made me think about unloading mine.
