I think I've seen this car here in the forum. But not sure what's his screen name. Actually there was an accident again today at West Seattle bridge.

that road has those steel seems that protrude from the ground. they feel pretty violent in the evo. i examined the his car pretty good today. he had enkei 18x? with very new Federal 225 40s or 45's. if he was going fast enough I would not bet against a blowout.
According to the article, the driver suffered an arm injury. Wow. I thought the injuries would be far worse after seeing the wreckage. That speaks volumes about the Evo's crash worthiness. Hope he's okay.
With a stiff suspension, those seems could have also just unsettled the car enough at any kind of speed. I hate driving over those things, especially around corners on the freeway.

In the news video, they mention of people below throwing rocks up onto the bridge and pelting people. maybe he was going decently fast, got pelted with a rock or 2 in the window and got startled and maybe lost control? who knows.
Probably one of the guys who posts things like "I was going 140 on the freeway and past a cop and didn't get pulled over!!!" Still sucks, but, hopefully some people will read this and think about how they drive.
notice the subaru sponsored news ticker on the video... hmm maybe an angry sti driver from the station did this...j/k but if u notice ne time an evo wrecks, wether its slow or fast the car is always totally f*cked up... makes me uncomfortable knowing I have a 170mph car that isn't safe @ all... does ne1 here know the crash ratings?
