Talking Defi Gauges

Well on Monday the 22nd my DeFi gauges are coming in!! Had the holes from my panel in the car for a bit and now time to fill them up.

Went with the BF Ambers from Ravspec who had 'bout the best deal on 3 gauges and a control unit. Got the boost, oil press, and fuel press. Plus they even threw in a Oil Block Adaptor For Oil Pressure Sensor Fitting. Really good price so I can't complain.

Jeremy, prepare to have me come over and let these bad boys jump into their new home!!

Yeah I thought about waiting...the Imperials are supposed to be released in Oct. But manufactures sometimes never follow their release times, so, I said what the hell....it's time to learn metric ;-)

Nice . Note, you actually don't need the adapter block, there are ports ready to use on the Evo next to the oil filter. Check these two threads for install info:

I was at Mountain mitsu this morning and took a peek through the open sun-roof (your car was parked out front). That panel looks solid, very nice. Can't wait to see the final product

Hey Ralph,

How much and where did you buy your fuel rail?? It looks as if that just may be a lot easier as you stated rather than just cutting into the fuel line itself.

The fuel rail was $180, afterwards I found one more option which is a fuel pressure regulator adapter with a port ($80). You can get both through www.z1auto.com.

Just FYI, for the GSR's you will need the oil adapter. Ralph I'm thinking your MR must have come equiped with one or some thing. The port next to the oil filter is way too big for the 1/8 NPT (I believe that's the size of the sensor). So ran off to Schmucks to grab one. Had the fuel press give me a little trouble getting the screw out of the fuel rail (perrin screwed this one on with an impact wrench) and the screw by the oil filter was just about as hard (but was able to use a cheater bar on it ;-). I got lucky the first time around with the fuel not leaking on the first try, but I had to reseal and really tightin the oil press. It leaked a bit after a full drive up to Seattle.

All in all, it looks great and glad I got them. Pics over on -

Thanks ralph for the help and pointers!
