anyone around have a wrecked 05 evo with a good transfer case they want to sell? im needing one bad. thanx

allready on it. anyone know someone who can help a man out. I need a low cost installer that does good work. dealer wants 500.00 for labor and 3250.00 for the tc . i getting a reman'd tc with forged spider gears and high torque ring & pinion set. any evo brothers with the tools and know how to do this

Me and the auto shop next to my work can do it. I am going to say ~$300, but I think I can pull it out w/o removing the transmission. I can get a firm quote if you want. I can also ship it from there too.

that would be cool. My mechanic just quoted me 480.00. said he has to pull the tranny to get the tc out. I myself am unsure what it takes on the 05 to get it out. thanx jj 008

You'll probably need to take out the transmission to get the transfer case out, or drop the subframe. I ran into clearance issues when attempting to mount the engine and transmission in my car without the tc.

i know the 05's are mounted different than the 03 04. hopfully its its easier than what im being told. shoot, i may as well send my tranny to TRE also and get it all done at once.

Because mitsubishi's have weak a$$ drive trains and transmissions made of glass. But seriously, its because 90% of the 12,000 miles was done 1/4 mile at time
