I'm assuming that the shop that changed my brakes before I came out here possibly forgot them...but I can't prove it, so I'm not pointing fingers.

 

Man been seeing alot of Evos lately. Seen a pretty nice gg evo parked at Able body shop on gamble.

Was talking w/Nick guess he isn't going to tanacross this week. Was checking up on the ride, hopefully he gets the rest slapped on soon. Just planning on a pump gas map since the season is over.

That's at least 1,000 miles right? Or at least that's how long I drove my tranny until I beat it up.



Damn, so if they're not going to Tanacross, maybe that means once yours is done...mine will be done shortly after.

 

Does anyone know what octane they have at the PIT STOP in Plamer? or what do they sell at the track?

 

it's "101"

basically 90 with Klotz octane booster mixed in. You never know if it's true 101 or not so don't go out and tune with it. It could be 101 one tank, or 96 the next. You just never know. All I used it for was a mix for daily driving. I'd fill up three 5 gallon cans and whenever I'd need gas, I'd put a couple gallons in of the 101 and fill the rest with 90. Probably gave me a 92/93 mix. Nothing to get ridiculous with, but enough that I could run my 91 octane tune I had in Wichita without knocking.

Plus my exhaust smelled good. LOL


Last time I got gas from there it was $4.97/gal. That was before the gas increase lately, so I dunno how much it would be now.

 

So today while I was cleaning my air filter, I changed my BOV to VTA. There is something unique about my car. It doesn't stall, doesn't back fire, didn't lose any power or anything. It's very wierd. Sounds awesome though.

So I figured out what is wrong with my car. My damn alternator basically went out. It isn't working properly which is in turn, causing my battery to run out on its power. Damn the man!!

Nope, it expired a while ago. But its only an alternator. I already ordered and paid for it so I will have it in a few days. So for the time being, the evo is out for the count. Now if it stopped freaking raining and warmed up just a tad, it wouldn't be too bad for me to ride my bike.
