So those lights went off on their own. It was wierd. The emergency break light and the battery light would come on in unison and get brighter as I would accelerate and dim out all the way as I would idle. I went to Shucks to run that little code reader on my car and as I was pulling into the parking lot to Schucks, the car just shot up my idle to 2500 rpm then went back down to where it should be, and the lights shut off. It cleared itself. Wierd. So since I was there, I picked up some paint and I am going to paint my rims this week. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon since I didn't get home with enough time to do it tonight. I figure I will need about a half an hour per coat to dry and I don't have jack stands so I have to do two tires at the most at one time. But I can't wait to see what it looks like when I am done. I am sure it will look sick.

since you were there you should have had them check it anyways, the ECU will store recently thrown SES lights even though they are not active.

Blew my first intercooler pipe off, scared the ever loving **** out of me. I thought I blew my engine, luckily I was close to Underground and pulled in. I was about to call my wife and have her pick me up when Jeremiah told me to pop the hood cause he thought it was the IC pipe. Sure as ****, the TB pipe popped.

Rusty, any luck getting the ROM conversion done? What seems to be the problem?

^^Haha, first time was when we were tuning and the licp blew off. ***** to get that back on. The only other time was when my Forge RS was put on backwards, haha. It popped off twice, once when i killed the 11.8 sec srt4 from fairbanks, and another time while tuning.

So budd, you know stuff bout chevy's? I'm eyeing on doing the cash for clunkers deal on maybe a new silverado, sierra or just trade in my f150 for a used 05' Sierra its like 24k only 29k miles on it. What you think?

I was under the impression that something else would need to be changed. I had to modify my maps and copy and past for the 0008 rom...didn't know it'd still work if I did the same thing to a 0015 rom.

Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

Thanks man.. I'll get this **** figured out.

Depends I guess. I would advise to buy new obviously since everyone like a new car. My buddy bought a brand new GMC Sierrra 1500 Crew Cab with tow package and more (but no leather which is the LTZ option I think) and walked out the door at $27K, and that was about 4 months ago. So if you're looking at a 05 Sierra for 24K I would see what they can work out for you in regards to a 08/09 NEW model around $27K. With the 05, you would be at the tailend of the warranty, however you could buy an extended one, just make sure you get the GM Protection Plan and not some stupid third party one like I did for our Subie. GMPP kicked ***.

As for used, see if they have anything newer than an 05 for that price, more like a 07/08 with 10K miles. If you can find an 05 Denali Sierra $25K would be a good price, AWD with a lot of HP and heated rear seats for the kiddos. I think you could do better haggling on a new vehicle, or find a truck with lower miles, 29K miles is awfully high for that price....unless it's fully loaded with DVD and navigation, but even then I would be hesitant just because of the other good deals out there right now on new and used trucks. Oh yeah, this piece of advice will cost you one Shep transimission.....

Rusty- Hope you got it all together, I would like to see how the NLTS helps you, I imagine it will knock off a tenth or two. Also, dont forget to add the new address tables to the new ROM.

This rom table b.s. is nuts. I'm so lost.

Just when I think I got it figured out...there's something new to learn.

I'll see if i could bargain the price down to 20k, hopefully they bite, haha. It's a nice truck for sure. I'm going to do some more shopping around. My bro in law has a family member who works at Nissan so i'm going to see what kind of discount i can get there as well maybe for a brand new titan or something else.

That is a pretty nice truck, I've always liked the Denalis/C3's, but keeping looking if it's no what you want. The Titans are nice as well, and fair priced....just don't get all crazy and slam like a few I've seen around town. If anything throw a lift on it and roll on some 35's.

Andrew-Congrats on the baby! Get some sleep whenever possible, you're gonna need it!

I have begun painting my wheels and I am half way done. Looking at getting them done today. They look pretty sick. Wanted to put a blue stripe on them around the lip but taping it off was a ***ch. I couldn't get the line to curve instead of looking all choppy. But I am pleased with them even without the stripe.

BTW, did you ever get your clutch installed? I got the same one and just recently installed. By far better than stock! Let me know if you still are looking for someone (experienced) to install it.
